Work Experience

The Big Cat Sanctuary offers Internships for individuals either seeking employment in the zoo industry having completed their studies or those requiring longer placements for split degree courses. At the current time we are not able to accept further applications. We will open for 2018 applications early in the New Year.  Details will be posted here in due course.

Work Placements

A limited number of placements are offered and as we’re very popular choice for work experience unfortunately we are not able to offer places to all applicants. The work is very physical and we expect students to be able to work independently.

At the current time we are unable to accept further applications for 2017/early 2018.

For further information about internships and work placements please email us here.

Research at The Big Cat Sanctaury

The Big Cat Sanctuary is dedicated to encouraging research that contributes to the body of scientific knowledge about big cats.

We welcome researchers, including students, who wish to conduct research projects. All researchers must fill out the appropriate application documents and have their proposal accepted before any data collection can take place.

If you are interested in carrying out a research project please contact Research.
