This is the inaugural Big Cat Sanctuary Art Competition and Auction, a celebration of wildlife art in aid of big cat conservation. Artists from around the world are invited to submit an original artwork depicting wild cats, with longlisted works exhibited at the Sanctuary and offered for sale via our online auction. All proceeds support our conservation work.
Entry is free and open to anyone aged 18 or over worldwide. You may submit one artwork only, via our online entry form.
Your artwork must:
• Depict a wild cat species (domestic cats are not eligible)
• Be 2D, A4, and created on paper using traditional media
• Be your own original, hand-drawn work, photography and AI-generated work are not permitted
- 16 March — Submissions open
- 20 July — Submissions close
- w/c 17 August — Longlist announced
- 9 October — Finalists announced
- 2 November — Shortlist announced; exhibition opens at the Sanctuary
- 3 December — Donor Day: awards & auction closing
- 7 December — Exhibition closes
Shortlisted and finalist artworks will be exhibited at the Sanctuary from November. All longlisted works are offered for sale in our online auction, with all proceeds going to conservation. Shortlisted artists are invited to our Donor Day awards ceremony on 3 December.
