What do you do in your day-to-day life?

I am a casual animal care assistant at Hadlow College.

What made you apply to volunteer at The Big Cat Sanctuary?

I have always wanted to be able to work with big cats.

What expertise do you bring to the sanctuary?

I studied Animal Management for five years at Hadlow and as a result, I have a lot of qualifications and have lots of experience in animal care. I am a hard worker and a fast learner.

Which resident Big Cat Sanctuary cat is your favourite cat and why?

I love them all, but my favourites are Willow (cheetah) and Tiny (African lion). I love Willow because she is always purring and I love Tiny because he is just adorable.

What do you enjoy most about your time at The Big Cat Sanctuary?

I enjoy everything about The Big Cat Sanctuary.

What do you enjoy most about being a volunteer?

Knowing that I am helping and being part of the team.

Tell us your most memorable experience at The Big Cat Sanctuary.

Going on a ranger day with Senior Keeper Ricky.

Tell us something we wouldn’t otherwise know about you.

I wanted to be a chef before I wanted to work with animals.

What is your favourite animal and why?

My favourite animal is the lion because they are the most beautiful animals ever.

What would be your advice to someone who was thinking about volunteering their time?

I would say go for it; it is an amazing experience.
