Our Most Anticipated Fundraising Event

On Thursday 4th June, The Big Cat Sanctuary invites you to an exceptional black-tie gala at the magnificent Eastwell Manor for an unforgettable evening.

Our annual Dine for Cats Gala is the most anticipated fundraising night in our calendar. A gathering of supporters, conservationists, and changemakers, united by one purpose: to secure the future of one of the world’s most extraordinary species.

The Mission: To Enhance the Tiger Conservation Centre

Project Overview

The Tiger Conservation Centre is a landmark development at The Big Cat Sanctuary, designed to position the charity at the forefront of global tiger conservation. Funds raised will directly support both the ongoing care of our resident tigers and the creation of a enhanced, multifunctional tiger habitat.

This is not just an improved habitat. It is a strategic leap forward for the Sanctuary.

A Multifunctional Conservation Habitat

The Centre will be designed with flexibility at its core, allowing it to support:

  • International breeding programmes (with a focus on Amur tigers)
  • Rescue and rehabilitation cases

On the night, guests will receive an exclusive first look at the visual concepts that will shape this exciting next chapter in the Sanctuary’s story.

Why This Matters For Tigers and For Us

With fewer than 500 Amur tigers remaining in the wild, and Sumatran tigers having lost around 90% of their habitat to deforestation, the need for meaningful, coordinated conservation action has never been more urgent. In India, Bengal tiger numbers have doubled in just over a decade, demonstrating the power of targeted conservation to drive recovery.

For the team at The Big Cat Sanctuary, this mission holds a deeper meaning as Tigers are where our story began. From our founder Peter Sampson’s rescue of a cub named Rocky, to today’s tiger residents Luca, Amasia and Kemala, this remarkable species are woven into our identity. Now, the Sanctuary are at a turning point; to remain a leader in global big cat conservation, we must evolve, from a sanctuary with a proud history into a centre of excellence for conservation impact.
