Snow leopard cubs hand- feed Lottery
Our beautiful boys are all grown-up and ready for their first ever hand-feed by one of you!

We’re thrilled to launch the lottery for our mischievous duo, Koshi and Khumbu, first ever public hand-feed each, raising vital funds towards caring for the cubs at the sanctuary and saving this iconic species by donating to our conservation partners The Snow Leopard Trust.

The Big Cat Sanctuary are devastated to announce that the decision has been made to reschedule their 2020 Open Days.

The annual Open Days were planned to take place from Wednesday 29th July – Sunday 2nd August 2020 but sadly, due to the unprecedented impacts that came with the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown, it is felt that to re-schedule would be best for all our visitors.

All tickets are still valid and will be transferred over to the new dates of Wednesday 2nd June – Sunday 6th June 2021.

Everyone here at the Sanctuary are truly saddened by this news. Director of Cats and Conservation, Giles Clark said:

“We are so disappointed to have to re-schedule this year’s annual open days. We were all so excited to welcome our visitors back to the Sanctuary and give them an amazing day out, especially after the immense support we’ve received over the last 12 weeks. Although we know re-scheduling is the best option to keep everyone safe at the moment, our concern for our Sanctuary continues to grow. Our Open Days are one of the biggest fundraisers for our cats and now, without the additional income they bring and our regular income it’s a very worrying time for the Sanctuary”

In addition to losing the vital income from Open Day activities and donations, the sanctuary remains closed to visitors, with restrictions due to the Covid 19 situation preventing our usual exclusive experiences and events from taking place and seeing the regular income from these dry up.

We are also going to miss the chance of truly celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year, with large fundraising events planned for later in the year now not likely to take place.

With the future currently uncertain and with the welfare of the cats in our care the highest priority, we’re asking for help from our amazing supporters to #saveoursanctuary and has launched a Facebook fundraising page where people can donate and spread awareness of the situation.
