We are delighted to announce that all 3 episodes of Big Cats About The House will be featured again on BBC2 this week!
The documentary features our Director of Big Cats and Conservation, Giles Clark, and the team as they provide day-to-day specialist care hand-rearing and caring for Maya the black jaguar and Willow the cheetah. The documentary also sees Giles travel abroad and visit some of the amazing conservation projects that we support.
Giles and the team hand-reared Maya from when she was just 5 days old. At the time she had serious health conditions after being neglected by her mother. The team have worked wonders in helping Maya grow into a beautiful, happy and healthy jaguar. The series shows the highs and lows of her journey and an insight into the day-to-day life of The Big Cat Sanctuary. We then meet Willow the cheetah who requires specialist care following a fracture to her leg.
Filmed in 2017, the series was a huge success for The Big Cat Sanctuary when the show first aired and we are really excited for everyone to fall in love with our beautiful cats all over again. If you know the Sanctuary well, you may see some familiar faces (both cat and human) and some of the wonderful residents that live in our memory.
The episodes will be on BBC2 at:
Episode 1: 16:15 pm on Wednesday 13th April
Episode 2: 16:15 pm on Thursday 14th April
Episode 3: 13:30 pm on Friday 15th April

Take part in one of our amazing animal experiences at The Big Cat Sanctuary including big cat experiences, photography experiences, safari lodges and overnight safari stays, ranger for a day experiences and our big cat afternoon tea with Paul Hollywood.
