From today until 29th April, every pound donated through Big Give’s Earth Raise platform will be matched and for the first time, we can show you exactly what those donations will create.
The Cheetah Conservation Centre has moved from ambition to blueprint. These images, released today alongside the launch of Born to Run, give the first look at what the future holds for cheetahs at The Big Cat Sanctuary.

The Centre has been designed around the specific physical and behavioural needs of cheetahs: a species that requires space, stimulation, and carefully managed social structures to thrive in human care. Every element has been informed by decades of keeper expertise and the latest evidence in cheetah welfare science.
The facility will provide the environment needed to support a healthy, genetically diverse captive population, contributing directly to the long-term survival of a species now occupying just 9% of its historical range.
- A state-of-the-art care and welfare facility meeting EAZA international standards
- A dedicated breeding programme supporting the Southern Cheetah Ex-situ Programme, safeguarding genetic diversity across European institutions
- On-site research capabilities to advance understanding of cheetah biology, behaviour, and health
- An immersive educational space connecting visitors directly to the global conservation story
The race is already underway. Donations made between now and 29th April through the Big Give platform will be matched in full, meaning every pound you give goes twice as far towards making this facility a reality.
This is what your support looks like. Now help us build it.
Donations can only be matched via the Big Give Earth Raise platform. The campaign closes at midday on 29th April.
