Conservation Conversation - Sumatran tigers - The Big Cat Sanctuary

Conservation Conversation – Sumatran tigers

Join us for our second Conservation Conversation of 2022 in celebration of the “Year of the Tiger” on Saturday 25th June 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Director of Cats and Conservation, Giles Clark will talk about all things Sumatran tiger with Debbie Martyr, Head of Tiger Protection & Conservation, Fauna and Flora International. Giles will share his personal experience from the field and working with Sumatrans both at the Sanctuary and Australia Zoo. Debbie will be sharing her experience of playing a leading role in establishing the first Tiger Protection and Conservation Units (TPCUs), being some of the most active and effective tiger guardians in Asia.

There are two types of tickets available for either in-person or online attendees.

Those who join in person will enjoy visiting The Big Cat Sanctuary and will get to see our beautiful cats, including our very own Sumatran tigers, Puna and Kirana! You will be split into two groups on the day to ensure that presentations and your visit to the Sanctuary can be enjoyed in comfort and with plenty of space.

Those who join us virtually will be sent a zoom link in the week leading up to the event and you will be able to view the second session of presentations in the afternoon or at your leisure.
